MCS Families:

The High School is currently experiencing sporadic electrical issues related to Monday's blown transformer. Duke Energy is on site and actively working with MCS staff to address the issue.

We want to assure you that, at this time, these electrical issues are not disrupting teaching and learning, and the school day is continuing as normal. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and everyone is safe and secure as we continue to monitor the situation.

It is our goal to be transparent and keep our families informed. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and share additional updates as needed. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support.

This is a friendly reminder that today, Wednesday, August 12, is an Early Release Wednesday. As a reminder, students will be dismissed at the following times:

Elementary Schools: 1:45 p.m.
Junior High School: 2:20 p.m.
High School: 2:30 p.m.

Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and safe end to the school day. Wishing our students, staff, and families a wonderful rest of the day.

Good news Madison Consolidated High School families!
Duke Energy has made the necessary repairs to the transformers and power is now back on and our AC units are cooling the building. We will be ready for school as usual tomorrow. Thank you for your help today as we navigated this unexpected power outage.

Due to an ongoing power issue with a blown transformer at Madison Consolidated High School, we will be dismissing our high school students only shortly. Car drivers will be able to leave 8:30 am and bus riders will dismiss at 8:45 am. This is for the high school only. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Once we have repairs completed or more information from Duke Energy, we will update our families.
