Huge congratulations to GHE alumna and current PhD student Yuriko Sato on publishing her single-authored article in The Journal of Higher Education — one of the top journals in our field! Her study, "Crossing Borders and Telling Stories," examines Asian international students' engagement in U.S. racial justice activism. Publishing solo in a premier journal as a doctoral student is a remarkable achievement. So proud of Yuriko, and grateful to everyone who supported her along the way. 🎉

Big congratulations to GHE student Lily Frehner, who presented at the 2026 Global Ophthalmology Summit in Philadelphia this month! Her presentation, "Sustaining Sight: The Critical Role of Pre-Departure Orientation in Global Health Electives," made the case that strong pre-departure prep isn't just an international education checkbox — it's essential to how safely and ethically medical trainees serve communities abroad. It's a great example of what happens when global health and international higher education meet. Congrats, Lily! 👏
