Today marks the final day of April and APIDA Heritage Month at UW-Madison. We would like to thank all of you for your support and energy this month.
This week features three amazing events that are a part of "Performing History: Asian Americans in the Midwest"! Learn more about what's in store by clicking down below! Some big names to check out: David Furumoto, Patricia Nguyen, Rebecca Kinney, B**h Minh Nguyen, and Victor Jew!
Performing History: Asian Americans in the Midwest Performing History seeks to gather and record stories from Asian Americans in the Midwest and to incorporate these stories into public performances.
Melanin Speaking is looking for a feature for the upcoming open mic on May 5th. The artist will be offered compensation for a 45-60min performance. Feel free to get in contact with them through Facebook!

In honor of APIDA Heritage Month, College Library and Steenbock Library are showcasing literature and other pieces from the APIDA community!
Steenbock Library (main & 2nd floor) will feature materials from the University Archives on APIDA life and experiences at UW-Madison, particularly a collection of correspondence letters between Japanese American students and the UW-Madison President during the time of Japanese internment and relocation.
College Library (1st floor) will feature a book display of APIDA-related literature, fiction and nonfiction.
Definitely check them out!

This Saturday, April 28, KASA is hosting a Korean International Music Showcase (KIMS). KIMS is a free concert open to the public.
KIMS features two world-renowned Korean hip hop artists, San E and Mad Clown. This event will demonstrate the evolution of Korean music, from traditional Korean drumming to modern dance, pop and hip-hop.
Where: Gordon Dining and Event Center
When: Saturday, April 28th, 6:45PM to 10PM
