Our mission is to encourage and guide those who are interested in Korean-American culture. As Korean-Americans, we fully experience two distinct yet encompassing cultures; therefore, KASA strives to help Korean-Americans in this community find balance in their identity. Happy Chuseok (추석)!!🍂🍂 Chuseok or Autumn Eve is a holiday that celebrates the autumn harvest in Korea. It's similar to an American Thanksgiving. Usually on this holiday families get together to eat and give gifts to each other. Also, on this holiday, Koreans make a certain kind of rice cake called Songpyeon (송편). Songpyeon is a type of rice cake filled with sesame seeds, chestnuts, red bean, and more! It's usually served with pine needles.
