Julieth is a freshman this year. This is her first play with MHS and she is a part of the tech crew. Julieth can be found helping move set pieces and learning how the backstage works! JayLynn is a junior participating in her sixth MHS Theater production. JayLynn is experiencing a whole new side of theater this spring. Instead of acting, she is serving as the stage manager. Stage managers need to know about everything happening onstage and off stage. Luckily, JayLynn has the skills to help keep the show running smoothly backstage. Zechariah is a sophomore this year, participating in his third MHS Theater production. He plays the roles of Richard Mayhew, Father, and a prison guard. He credits the Lord with helping him be cast in these roles. The first plays Zechariah remembers seeing were the MHS Theater productions of Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery or Into the Woods. If he could see any live production, he would choose to see Godspell.

Dawson is a sophomore this year. This is his second play with MHS. Dawson can be found working the sound for our production in the light and sound booth. Dawson also built two of the doors that are used in the production. He has quickly become the “handyman” on set! The first play Dawson remembers seeing was MHS’s production of, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. If he could see any production, he would choose The Poe Show.

Lucy is a ninth grader participating in her first MHS Theater production. She plays the role of Charlie, a street-wise, master inventor who can create almost anything out of almost anything. Charlie is always ready with a contraption and never misses an opportunity to use her creations for the good of solving the mystery. Our student director Grace, is a junior this year. This is the fourth play she has student directed. She has become a vital member of the directing team and can probably recite almost every line of the play at this point. When asked about her first experience with live theater, Grace recounts her time playing an orphan in the orphanage, and then one of Fagan’s gang of street urchins in a local production of Oliver. If she could see any theater production, she would want to see Hamlet with a young actor playing the title role. She would also like to see The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde (again). She would also enjoy seeing productions of The Play That Goes Wrong or Clue.

Tobin Breddin:

Tobin is a ninth grader participating in his first MHS Theater production. He plays the part of the famous Dr. John Watson, loyal partner of Sherlock Holmes. Dr. Watson famously chronicled all of his adventures with Sherlock, helping to make him the world’s most famous detective. Although this is his first high school play, Tobin remembers going to see The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery, which was his sister Lydia’s first play with MHS. He also remembers watching Hamilton. If he could see any play or musical, Tobin would choose to see a production of Alice in Wonderland.
