We are a small family daycare in East Madison. Our small classroom leaves room for plenty of one on one attention with room to expand your experiences in a childcare classroom in a relaxed family environment.
🔹As an assistant teacher at Little Sprouts, you will assist the lead teacher in daily tasks such as:
-Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
-Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children
-Help children keep good hygiene (washing hands, toileting, diapers, etc)
-Change diapers
-Organize activities and implement our curriculum that allows children to learn about the world and explore interest
-Develop and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
-Follow and develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime
-Help keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interests
-Patient and fun personality
-Follow Wisconsin State Licensing rules and regulations for family childcare
🔹Requirements:
-Would prefer someone with experience working in a childcare setting, but willing to train the right candidate
-High school diploma
-Reliable transportation
-Background check
-CPR, First Aid, and classes required by the state due 6 months after start date.
