The race to save lives, and win $1 million, is back!🩸 Last year, Badgers led the Big Ten Network with more than 15,000 blood donations, helping save up to 46,000 lives and earning $1 million for student and community health initiatives. Catch up on the top 10 headlines from a busy summer on campus! ☀️⬇️

👐 Eric Wilcots became interim chancellor of UW–Madison following Jennifer Mnookin’s departure to Columbia University.

👐 UW–Madison officially launched the College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence (CAI), its first new academic division in more than 40 years.

👐 Science Hall will be renovated starting in 2027, thanks to a lead gift of $85.2 million from alumni and philanthropists John and Tashia Morgridge.

👐 The Kellner Family Athletic Center for Badger student-athletes opened next to Camp Randall, with the first phase completed and additional work planned through mid-2027.

👐 Final construction work continued through the summer on Irving & Dorothy Levy Hall, the new home base for UW–Madison’s College of Letters & Science.
