Discovery Middle School Chorus

More Orlando fun!

We’re having a great time in Orlando! DMS Mixed Choir got 1st place and superior scores at OrlandoFest and Discovery even won a spirit award! Our band friends also received first place and superior scores. It’s always a great day to be a Panther! More pics to come.

Make plans to attend the first ever Chorus Showcase this upcoming Monday at 5:30 pm in the DMS cafeteria! This unique performance will feature solos, duets, and small group performances by DMS chorus members. We hope to see you there! 🎶

In-person auditions for Advanced Choir will take place tomorrow, April 14th. These auditions are for students who are not currently in DMS Chorus and upcoming 6th graders who would like to audition for Advanced Choir. Upcoming 6th graders who wish to take Beginning choir do not need to attend.

Requirements for Advanced Choir include the ability to read music. This will be assessed at the audition. Email Mrs. Bounds with any questions!

These DMS students represented our school at the Alabama All-State Choral Festival yesterday! It is a high honor to be chosen to participate and we are so proud of these students!

Congratulations to these amazing students! Being chosen for an All-State Choir is a huge accomplishment, and we can’t wait to cheer them on as they represent Discovery at the festival!

Our Beginning Choir did a fantastic job in their very first performance at Cobwebs and Cocoa (pic 1)! They even had some special guests from Advanced Treble join them (pic 2).

Several of our 7th and 8th grade students auditioned for All-State Choir (pic 3) and celebrated a monumental moment at Nothing but Noodles (pic 4).

Finally, all of DMS Chorus did an amazing job honoring our veterans during the Veterans Day Program last Friday (pic 5).

We’re so proud of our students and can’t wait for our Winter Concert on December 9th! ❄️🎤
