Ready to talk trash? 😤♻️

In the fourth episode of the SustainUW Podcast’s new miniseries, Sustainability Conversations across the Big Ten, we sit down with sustainability leaders from the to explore their work in zero-waste initiatives, composting, and beyond. Then, we turn the mic back to to hear how similar efforts are taking shape on our own campus, from how we divert and process waste, to how we can flip the script and produce less of it to begin with.

Tune in for the best (practices) of both worlds (UWs)!

The latest episode of the SustainUW Podcast miniseries, Sustainability Conversations Across the Big Ten, turns west to the University of Washington to explore how a large, multi-campus institution moves sustainability from planning to practice.

Hosts John Ernst and Ren Nickel speak with Daimon Eklund, communications manager for the University of Washington Sustainability Office, and Emily Adams, project and engagement specialist, about the university’s evolving sustainability strategy. The conversation then shifts back to UW–Madison, where University Housing sustainability coordinator Malorie Garbe and undergraduate sustainability assistant Seri Sanchez reflect on how student engagement takes shape through everyday campus systems and experiences.
