The County College of Morris (CCM) has acquired The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, Inc., bringing one of the most iconic and influential names in the industry to its campus, beginning in Fall 2026. This integration expands opportunities for students seeking successful careers in comics, illustration and graphic storytelling while building upon The Joe Kubert School’s renowned reputation of artistic excellence. A formal signing event will be held on CCM’s campus on Monday, August 17, 2026, to commemorate this milestone and celebrate the future of The Joe Kubert School at CCM.
Building on their 50-year legacy, The Joe Kubert School’s specialized Cartoon and Graphic Art program will continue as part of CCM, connecting students to an industry network that few programs can match. Through relationships that include such names as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing and Dynamite Entertainment, students gain direct access to working professionals and valuable career insights. This foundation has helped alumni launch careers with some of the world’s most recognized studios, including Walt Disney Animation, Warner Bros. and Pixar Animation Studios.
Through CCM’s Center for Workforce Development, The Joe Kubert School at CCM will offer artists of all experience levels access to a program that has inspired generations of cartoonists, illustrators and visual storytellers. Students will build technical skills and artistic confidence while learning from practicing professionals in the industry.

Students will also benefit from access to CCM’s wide range of student support services, designed to foster student success. These resources include academic advising, a Tutoring Center, Career Services, Transfer Services, Center for Student Well-Being, Veterans Resource Center and use of facilities on campus such as the library and fitness center. In addition, students will have the opportunity to be a part of CCM’s vibrant student life, including over 50 student clubs and organizations.
