DID YOU KNOW .... IMA's 5th and 6th grade delegates are headed to Bangkok... but we need your help!

This November, six Isthmus Montessori Academy learners will travel to Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) Conference, where they will engage in global diplomacy, collaboration, research, and peace education alongside peers from around the world while representing Brazil and Nigeria!

What makes this journey especially meaningful is that our learners are helping lead the way. They have already organized food booths, a trivia night, handmade item sales, and community partnerships - raising more than $3,000 so far toward their goal.

MMUN is a year-long program rooted in leadership, responsibility, and global citizenship. As a public charter Montessori school, we are committed to ensuring that experiences like this are accessible to all learners, regardless of financial background. We are currently working to raise approximately $25,000 to ensure that every participating learner is able to take part in this transformational experience- including covering travel and full conference participation for those who would not otherwise be able to attend.

Every contribution helps make this possible. Small gifts add up quickly, and larger gifts make a direct impact:
$5–$10 helps build momentum
$1,000 helps cover a learner’s flight
$1,100 sponsors a learner’s full participation and lodging!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!! 💛

Today we’re celebrating our adolescent teachers — the steady, caring adults who show up for our learners every day. Our GSA students wrote heartfelt notes and created bracelets and keychains with words and phrases that reminded them of their teachers!

A small gesture, but a big reminder of the impact you make. Thank you for being exactly who our adolescents need.

It's Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💛

This week is a reminder that children’s mental health matters every day. At our school, we are committed to supporting the whole child—socially, emotionally, and academically—and to creating a community where learners feel safe, supported, and able to ask for help.

While we we unfortunately had to cancel this year’s Family Resource Fair, our commitment to supporting families hasn’t changed. If you’re looking for resources or have concerns about a learner, we’re here to help.
