Today 1st-5th graders enjoyed their first day back at school, and we had everyone in K-5 all together in our building for the first time this school year! There were big smiles, happy reunions, new friendships, and SO much excitement as our Lake View Lizards got back into the rhythm of learning and being together. 🫶

We’re ready for a year filled with connection, curiosity, kindness, and lots of Lizard pride. Welcome back, Lake View Lizards! We’re so glad you’re here! 🎒✨ 🦎 💙

🎉🍎Our kindergarteners are officially Lake View Lizards! 💙

Today was a BIG day at Lake View Community School as we welcomed our newest little learners for their first day of kindergarten! 🥰📚

Our school was full of so many sweet smiles, excited faces, new friendships, and a whole lot of kindergarten magic. ✨ Welcome to Lake View, kindergarteners! We’re so glad you’re here! 🥹💙

And tomorrow… the whole crew will be together! 🎉 We can’t wait to welcome back our 1st–5th graders for our very first day all together. 💙

🌲✨ Lake View Staff is BACK! ✨🌲

We are wrapping up a busy week of professional learning, planning, and getting everything ready to welcome our Lake View students back for another amazing school year! And of course, we had to capture our crew together in front of our beautiful Lake View School Forest! 🌳📸

Our educators are ready, our classrooms are getting their final touches this afternoon, and we are SO excited for another year of learning, connection, and belonging. 💚

📚 A quick reminder about our first days:
--- Tuesday, September 1: Kindergarten ONLY
--- Wednesday, September 2: ALL students return!

We can’t wait to see our Lake View Lizards next week. Let’s make it a GREAT year! 🎉🌲💚

📚🐉 A NEW STORY HAS ARRIVED AT LAKE VIEW! 🐉📚

☀️🌳Enjoy the summer sunshine with a walk and a good book! Our new StoryWalk features Me and My Dragon by David Biedrzycki, a fun and imaginative story about the perks of having a pet dragon, how to train one, and the food you should NEVER feed it! 👀🐲

📖 Don't forget to come read the story Wednesday, 8/26 from 4:30-6:00pm during our Welcome Back Playground Party! We can’t wait to see you there! 💙

📍 Pick up a packet from the purple folder in the Little Free Library, between the parking lot and main entrance of Lake View.
📖 Complete the activities and reading challenges.
🎁 Bring your completed packet to next Wednesday’s Welcome Back Playground Party to earn a prize! The event is Wednesday, August 26th from 4:30-6:00pm.
