We are a nonprofit organization in Madison, WI whose mission is to help you connect with new friends, practice English in a comfortable environment, and experience the US in unique ways. The International Friendship Center is your “home away from home!” Located in downtown Madison, WI, the IFC is conveniently located for college students as well as anyone living in the Madison area. * Make new friends with Americans and other internationals
* Join free English classes throughout the week and practice speaking English with native speakers
* Relax in a comfortable setting and enjoy coffee, tea, or hot chocolate with your friends

We had a wonderful time enjoying all that the Agora Art Fair had to offer! 🎨

IFC friends spent the day strolling through beautiful artwork from talented local and regional artists, listening to live music, enjoying delicious food, and watching Latin dance cultural performances.

What a beautiful day spent exploring Devil’s Lake! The IFC enjoyed fresh air, scenic views, and time together surrounded by nature. From hiking and paddling on the lake to making memories with great friends, it was the perfect day outdoors! 💙

The IFC had a blast at a pontoon boat activity last week with MSCR Pontoon Boat Drop-in Rides! We were able to enjoy a relaxing sunset boat ride with a beautiful view of Memorial Union and a stunning sunset over the lake. 😍🌅 Swipe through to see photos of both! ✨

What a wonderful afternoon together at our traditional IFC American BBQ!

We enjoyed delicious food, friendly conversation, lawn games, homemade ice cream, and sparklers! It was a wonderful opportunity to practice English, make new friends, and experience a classic American summer tradition.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fun and memorable day. We can't wait to see you at our next IFC event!

Baking desserts with fresh picked fruit makes them taste ten times better!

Did you guess correctly? 🤔 The IFC used the hand-picked strawberries from our last activity post to make homemade strawberry muffins during a cooking class. What a delicious, sweet treat! 🍓

Summers in Madison wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Memorial Union Terrace! With all the beautiful weather we've been having recently, the IFC couldn't resist having an outdoor conversation class and lunch by Lake Mendota. What a lovely day to be outside! ☀️😎

Our IFC Fun on the Lake event at Lake Wingra Boats was a fantastic day of outdoor fun! IFC friends enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, followed by a picnic and time to relax and connect with one another. The beautiful weather and great company made for a memorable day on the water. Thank you to everyone who joined us on such a sunny summer day!

The UW Arboretum is always a great place to appreciate God's creation - nature in all its beauty! Our IFC friends had a relaxing time among all the beautiful plants. We even saw a huge tree that needed THREE of us to fit around it! Keep swiping through for some lovely flower photos, as well as a nest of baby birds that we came across 🥹🐣😍

The heat was on at the Chili Cook-Off at Living Christ a few weeks ago! 🌶️🔥🥣🍲

We had a great time trying delicious chili recipes, having lots of laughs, and building friendships together. A few of our students even walked away with raffle prizes—what a fun surprise! 🎉
