Student artists celebrate opening of 'Young at Art' exhibition showcasing student art at MMoCA MADISON, Wis. - The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art's galleries were full of K-12 students Sunday excited to see their work on the walls.

Thanks to the Newark IFF for giving our 2021 animation, "Little Blood" one last festival screening this past weekend, and we're looking forward to the Duluth Superior Film Festival who will be the FIRST to show our 2022 film, "Dangun" on Sun. Sept. 25. at 2pm. https://www.ds-ff.com/feature-films

Elementary students get Disney experience Area schools got to take part in Disney's Musicals in Schools Program at the Overture Center Wednesday.

Software expands music for elementary students Orchestra teacher Heather Laurila turned to a crowdfunding website to obtain software so she could arrange songs that are more familiar to her students and tailored to their skill levels.

The Olson Elementary 10th Anniversary mural is complete and is a dedication to their first 10 years as a school. It is an expression of student artwork and poetry and a celebration of Paul Olson’s legacy of conservation and the creation of the school forest.

At the top of each wall, there are Paul Olson’s quotes, “A school is the palace of childhood, “and, “Let us take the young to the hills [and the woods] and show them the glories…”. The mural also honors Wisconsin Poet, Lorine Niedecker, from Ft. Atkinson, WI with themes of place, nature, and water.

Congratulations to Deb Lyons, Olson Principal, Anna Liska, Olson Art Teacher, Dane Arts Mural Arts, Olson PTO, friends and family of Paul Olson and Lorine Neidecker, and of course our talented students for making this possible!

The mural will be dedicated on Monday, June 11th.

‪ “Ending Gun Violence: An Art Show and Conversation ” allowed our artistic and literary scholars from O’Keeffe and East to share their voices through Andy Warhol-inspired pieces and live at the mic. Unapologetic, raw, and empowering.‬
