Students who use N Sherman to get to my N Shermsn Studio -- Street closure will require reroute along Commercial.

Beginning at 5:00 am on Monday, August 17, Wisconsin and Southern Railroad will close N Sherman Avenue just north of Oxford Place to replace the railroad crossing.The closure is expected to last approximately 14 days, with the roadway scheduled to reopen by the morning of Monday, August 31.

On the value of continuing... there does need to be parental support. Don't just drop them off at lesson and expect progress or enjoyment. Make sure your child has a quality, full size instrument. A sturdy bench. Good lighting. It's in a place that makes piano feel normal - NOT their bedroom, certainly not a cold basement, never someplace dark & unwelcoming. Turn off the TV when they're practicing & enjoy the piano as something of a process, a journey. Celebrate the process and not just the recital or festival. Engage every two or three days with your child -- how's x coming along? I would enjoy it if you could share that with me after we clean up from dinner -- I'm looking forward to sitting in on your lesson next week -- what did your teacher say about that piece I heard you play last week? There's a pianist playing at x venue next month , would you like it if I got tickets?

Day 2 of 2 recitals this afternoon. I'm excited to hear more outstanding student performances. And I get to play 2 duets + enjoy a parent in duet with her youngest. Break a key 🎹!!
