Let's Talk ESL-English Tutoring

Let's Talk ESL-English Tutoring My students are typically children or adults who have moved to Madison for school or work. classes are one-to-one or small group.

Teaching language arts to native and non-native speakers of English. I provide interactive, meaningful activities for students that will spark their imagination and enjoyment of language arts. I teach adults conversation, pronunciation, and common expressions. K-12 students learn phonics, spelling, narrative (story) writing, journaling, find main idea and summarize literature passages, and do a "b

ook club" with 6-12 grade students ("The Giver", "Scarlet Letter", etc.). I create a study guide for the book with questions. In addition, I tutor high school students in SAT/ACT preparation and how to write a persuasive 5-paragraph essay. I have taught ESL at United Refugee Services/Madison, MBC English Language Institute/Seoul, South Korea, and Korea University in Seoul.
