THIS TUESDAY, 3/7! Please join the LCC and Mecha for Women’s History Month as we honor Latine women leaders! We will be printing t-shirts inspired by Dolores Huerta’s activism. You will get to choose from 3 designs (scroll to see) to print on your own shirt, and all supplies will be provided.

Throwback to the Latinx Cultural Center (LCC) New Student Welcome! We would like to thank everyone so much for attending. It was so great to see so many new and familiar faces. We hope you all were able to meet new people within the community and also get connected to some new resources 😁

The Latinx Cultural Center invites you to come next week to our Gentrification of the Latinx Identity event! We will present an educational portion on the different aspects of the Latinx identity that have been rebranded into American culture and have a workshop portion in which we will be making ceviche and other Latinx cultural traditions! The Art of Coping® is a series of workshops designed to help young people identify healthy ways to cope with life experiences and emotions. Students will learn healing and creative practices that can be incorporated into daily life, making them experts in their own wellness.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Latine Student Union and Latinx Heritage Month Planning Committee cordially invites you to this year's Latine Ball! The Ball will be held on October 15th, 2022 in the Symphony Room at Gordon Dining and Event Center (770 W Dayton St. Madison, WI.) Join us for refreshments, an award ceremony, and the much-anticipated dance!
Doors will open at 6:30 pm, ramming beginning sharply at 7:00 pm. This event is alcohol and drug-free. Please come dressed as you wish!
The vases that we painted at our "Latinx Art Gallery Event" will be on display at our tables! We encourage to sit by the vase you helped create with your org.
Tickets are limited to 1 per person, and this form will be open until registration fills up. First come, first serve!

We are so excited to announce our 2022 Latinx Heritage Month Keynote Speaker: Yesika Salgado!
The event will take place at The Sett, in Union South at 6pm. Yesika will share her story and read some of her incredible poetry in honor of our theme of "Expression Beyond the Margins." Afterwards there will be a short Meet and Greet for Yesika to meet out community. There will be a limited supply of her poetry books that will be available on a first come first served basis so please come to our event!
