This week was a great reminder of what can happen when we come together with a shared purpose. 💙

The Mississippi Nurses Foundation and the Mississippi Nurses Association Boards of Directors came together for a collaborative meeting focused on strengthening our partnership and supporting the future of nursing in Mississippi.

When we bring our experience, ideas, and passion to the same table, we create greater opportunities to support nurses, invest in nursing students, and advance the profession we all care so deeply about.

We are grateful for this group of leaders and excited about what we can accomplish together! 🩺💙

Congratulations to all 2026-2027 Car Tag Stipend recipients! The Mississippi Nurses Foundation proudly awarded 30 stipends totaling $127,500. Stipend funds are raised through the State of Mississippi Nurses Car Tag Program - Nurses Touch Lives, and made available to registered nurses and nursing students enrolled in an accredited Associate, Baccalaureate, Masters or Doctoral Program in a Mississippi School of Nursing. Congratulations to Racolesha R. Denson, FNP-C, AAHIVS, and LaDaryl L. Watkins, MSN, MPH, RN, FNP-C. They are the recipients of the Mississippi Nurses Foundation’s PhD Research Grant for 2026. Denson and Watkins are both PhD Nursing Students at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and members of the Mississippi Nurses Association. Recipients of the MNF PhD Research Grant can receive up to $10,000 in funding towards their research study.

Congratulations to the 2026 $1000 Lane-Ware Graduate Nursing Scholarship recipient, Marion Stewart-Phillips. Phillips is a nursing student at The Mississippi University for Women. The scholarship is funded by Mrs. Irma Brinkley Lane and Dr. Sara Mazique Ware. Lane and Ware created this scholarship to recognize and support advance practice nurses who advocate for the mental well-being of individuals, groups and families in Mississippi communities
