🎉 Kindergarten Families – Important First Week Information! 🎉

Hello, Kindergarten Families! This is Principal Southard with some important information for the week ahead.👋🐾
We are so excited to welcome our newest Dillard Dalmatians! Here are a few important reminders for the first week of school:
🐾 Staggered Entry Days:
Kindergarten students will meet in the cafeteria on their assigned staggered entry day. Parents are welcome to walk their child inside on their staggered entry day. After staggered entry, we ask that you use the circle drive for morning drop-off and allow your child to enter independently. Staff will be available to greet students and help them get where they need to go. ❤️
📱 ClassDojo:
ClassDojo classrooms will be assigned once final classroom placements are completed.
📅 Thursday, August 27:
Thursday is a Kindergarten Teacher Workday. No kindergarten students will report to school on Thursday.
🎒 Friday, August 28:
ALL kindergarten students will report to school on Friday! This will be their first day together as a full class, and we can’t wait! 🎉
🚗 Dismissal Reminder:
To help keep our car rider line safe and moving smoothly, please remain in your vehicle during pick-up. If you need to buckle your child into their seat, please pull into a parking space after your child enters the vehicle.

First Day of School Reminder! 🎉

Good evening Dillard Dalmatians families, this is Principal Southard with your weekly updates.

We are excited to welcome our students back for another amazing school year! Monday, August 24th, is the first day of school for students in grades 1–5. Kindergarten students will attend on their assigned staggered entry day—Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
Our staff has been working hard to prepare, and we can’t wait to see our Dalmatians back in the building! 💙🖤 Champions Rise Together!

⏰ Arrival:
Doors open at 7:20 a.m. All car riders should be dropped off at the front of the building. Staff members will be outside and ready to welcome students and assist with arrival.

🚗 Dismissal 2:45 p.m:
To help keep our car rider line safe and moving smoothly, please remain in your vehicle during pick-up. If you need to buckle your child into their seat, please pull into a parking space after your child enters the vehicle.
📍 K–2 Car Riders: Pick up at the front of the building
📍 Grades 3–5 Car Riders: Pick up on the side of the building where buses park

🚌 Bus Riders:
Please be patient during the first few days of school as our bus drivers learn their routes and students become familiar with their schedules. Bus arrival and drop-off times may vary during the first several days.
If you have not already done so, please download the EDULOG Parent Portal app through the Rockingham County Schools website. This will allow you to track your child’s school bus and receive important transportation information.
Thank you for your patience and for helping us have a safe and smooth start to the school year. We are ready for an incredible year at Dillard Academy! 🐾💙

🎉 Open House was a HUGE success! 🐾💙

A special thank you to our amazing staff for all of their hard work in making the evening so welcoming and special for our families! We loved seeing so many smiling faces back in our building and are excited to welcome our students and families for another wonderful school year.

🐾💙 OPEN HOUSE IS ALMOST HERE! 💙🐾

We are so excited to welcome our Grades 1–5 students and families to Open House this Thursday from 3:00–6:00 PM! We can’t wait to see our Dalmatians and kick off an amazing school year together! 🎉📚

📱 Parents & Guardians: Our yearly student information sheet is now completed online through Infinite Campus. Staff members will be available during Open House to help you complete this process.

To make things easier, please have the following handy:

- Your Infinite Campus password if you have already created an account
- A photo ID

⭐ New to our school or didn’t set up an account last year? No worries at all! Our staff will be ready to help you get everything set up and completed.
