Information Technology Academy

On October 15, 15 ITA Madison students joined the PEOPLE Program for an unforgettable field trip to John Deere Dubuque Works! Students explored how massive machines come to life through machine mini-lessons and an in-depth factory tour. They also enjoyed a machine quiz game and an engaging Q&A with engineers who shared their pathways into careers in design, manufacturing, and technology. It was a full day of learning, inspiration, and hands-on exploration of the innovations driving modern industry!

This past October, ITA Oneida Tribal Sites students and staff attended the 2025 Oneida Nation College Fair, hosted by the Oneida Nation Higher Education program. This event showcased a unique college fair that allowed 29 college representatives to showcase their programs to area high school students from across Wisconsin. The event brought students together for a day of exploring areas of study, connecting with college representatives, creating memories, and having fun!

The 2025 Oneida Nation College Fair was a huge success and we would like to extend a huge Yaw^ko (thank you) to the Oneida Nation Higher Education Program!

Last weekend, ITA sophomores and juniors travelled to UW-Madison’s campus for Fall Conference! From exploring State Street to hearing from ITA alumni, students got to explore UW-Madison and all it has to offer alongside their ITA classmates!

Fall Conference is just around the corner! We are excited to bring together students from all three sites in Madison next weekend. Students will get a tour of campus, observe a lecture, participate in a resume workshop, and more!

Last week, our LDF students wrapped up three powerful days of growth, connection, and exploration. 🚀🌲

This past month, we celebrated an unforgettable milestone — the graduation of 39 remarkable students from the Information Technology Academy Class of 2025!

These students made a commitment years ago to challenge themselves, to show up early on weekends and participate in summer camps, to dive deep into technology, college prep, and leadership. From Madison to Oneida to Lac du Flambeau, they balanced school, life, and ITA with determination and heart.

We were honored to hear from our incredible keynote speaker, Dominic J. Ledesma, PhD, and from powerful student voices who reminded us what this program is truly about: growth, resilience, and community. We also celebrated our Legacy of Excellence award winners for the positive impact they made in their cohorts.

To our graduates: your hard work has paid off, and you now join a legacy of over 500 ITA alumni. Whether you’re heading to UW–Madison or exploring new places, remember that you always have a home with us at ITA. 💙
