Row, row, row your boat into fall break… while it’s still floating!

The annual cardboard boat race brought out some amazing creations and some VERY optimistic crews! Many boats entered, but only a few stayed afloat. Turns out, confidence isn’t waterproof!

Some came to win. Others ended up going for a swim. Either way, these crews knew how to make a splash heading into fall break!

Congratulations to our Area 2 Floral Design CDE competitors! Lilianne placed 7th in the Senior Division and Hailey placed 9th in the Junior Division. 🌸

Our next “Meet the Officer Monday” (err… Tuesday), is our Chapter Vice President, Wyatt Stewart. Wyatt has been in FFA since his freshman year and has a wildlife management SAE. He is a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church and has been part of the Dairy Show Team.

It’s time that we introduced our Morgan County FFA Officer team! So each Monday we’ll do a “Meet the Officer” segment.

We’re kicking it off with Kaden Morris, our Chapter President. Kaden has been in FFA since middle school and has a competitive sheep production SAE. He is a member of the Varsity Football team, FCA, NHS, MCHS Ambassador Team, 4H, GA Club Lamb Association, and Junior Board.

’Twas the night before show season, and all through the barn,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…
(Well, maybe a mouse. 🐭)

The waterers were hung in each stall with care,
In hopes that little piggies soon would be there.

The feed bags were nestled all snug in their cans,
While feed scoops and show sticks stood ready at hand.

Soon there’ll be walking and washing each night,
Learning to drive pigs to the left and the right.
Early mornings, late evenings, and shavings galore,
And muddy footprints all over the floor.

Then one day these students will step in the ring,
Some for the first time, nervous about everything.
Show stick in hand, they’ll take that first stride—
With months of hard work and a whole lot of pride.

But tonight the barn’s quiet, with stalls clean and bright,
Because tomorrow the pigs come…

And to all a good night! 🐷💙💛

Show season starts TOMORROW!

Morgan County Middle and High School FFA members and 4-H members are invited to attend an informational meeting to learn how to get started with the Morgan County Commercial Dairy Heifer Show Team. Students and families will have an opportunity to learn more and ask questions.

This meeting is mandatory for students planning to show a commercial dairy heifer during the 2026–2027 school year. A parent or guardian must attend with the student.

Yesterday 11 of our chapter FFA members participated in the North Region Rally 💙💛

They completed a degree scavenger hunt, ag college puzzles, competed in the SAE relay, tried their hand at different CDEs, and got to enjoy some free rec time at the FFA camp.

These kids had a great time and represented Morgan County FFA well!
