Our 6th graders had an unforgettable experience participating in the Jets PLAY 60 event at the Atlantic Health Training Center, home of the New York Jets!

Students spent the day taking part in fun fitness challenges, football-inspired activities, and team-building exercises designed to keep them active and engaged. PLAY 60 is the NFL's youth health and wellness initiative that encourages children to be physically active for at least 60 minutes each day while promoting healthy lifestyle habits.

The event gave our students the opportunity to learn the importance of fitness, teamwork, and healthy choices while experiencing a behind-the-scenes look at the Jets' world-class training facility. It was a day filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of smiles!

Thank you to the New York Jets organization for inspiring our students to stay active and healthy.

Come on down to Mrs. Lee’s Kindergarten class!

Our Kindergarten students wrapped up the school year with a fun-filled classroom game show inspired by The Price Is Right! From rhyming words and sight-word challenges to literacy games and friendly competition, our little learners put their language arts skills on display while having a blast.

With plenty of cheering, laughter, and excitement, the students showed just how much they have learned and grown this year. What a wonderful way to celebrate a year of learning, friendship, and success in Kindergarten!

Mrs. Lee’s Kindergarten class celebrated one of their favorite end-of-year traditions—the Wedding of Q and U!

After learning that Q and U are best friends who almost always stay together in words, the students celebrated the happy couple with a special wedding ceremony inspired by the beloved book The Wedding of Q and U. Dressed in their finest attire, the children enjoyed stories, a wedding procession, festive treats, and plenty of dancing as they celebrated the newlyweds.

This fun and memorable activity helps our young readers and writers remember an important spelling rule while creating lasting Kindergarten memories. Congratulations to Q and U!

As the school day ended, the Class of 2026 was celebrated with a special Clap Out through the hallways of St. Vincent Martyr School.

Students, faculty, and staff lined the halls to cheer on our graduates as they made their final walk through the school, surrounded by applause, smiles, and well wishes. It was a joyful and emotional sendoff for a class that has left its mark on our school community.

We are grateful for the memories, leadership, and spirit the Class of 2026 has shared with us over the years. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

"Pretty sneaky, Sis!"

That famous line could be heard echoing through the classroom as students put their strategic thinking skills to work with Connect 4 in Mrs. McDermott's math class. More than just a game, Connect 4 challenges students to think ahead, recognize patterns, develop strategies, and solve problems—all of which are important mathematical skills.

With every move, students practiced critical thinking, friendly competition, and perseverance as they worked to outsmart their opponents. Learning and fun made the perfect winning combination!

Our 6th-grade students visited their PK4 buddies for a final get-together and yearbook signing. Throughout the year, the older students served as role models, helping their buddies with reading activities, projects, and special events. In return, the PK4 students brought endless enthusiasm, smiles, and excitement to every visit. Together, they formed friendships that crossed grade levels and created memories that will last long after the school year ends.

These special buddy relationships are one of the many benefits of attending a PK–8 school, where students of all ages learn from, support, and encourage one another.

It was an autograph convention yesterday, as students from every grade lined up for the chance to collect signatures from our graduating Class of 2026. Armed with yearbooks and plenty of excitement, younger students eagerly sought out their favorite eighth graders for a keepsake they'll treasure for years to come.

Our resident rock stars signed autographs and shared a few final moments with their younger classmates. It was a fun and meaningful tradition that celebrated the special bonds that make our school community so unique.

Good luck, Class of 2026. You may be leaving SVMS, but you'll always have fans here!

Kerry will attend Madison High School.

St. Vincent Martyr School has prepared me not only through academics, but also as a person. I have grown to always push myself to the very best I can be and strive to achieve my goals.

I value my friends I have met and grown to love. Throughout my life at SVMS, I have always known that I have real caring friends who I truly love and appreciate.

Students and their families should consider joining the SVMS community because it helps young kids to learn, be motivated, and build their confidence. It helps them grow as people and strive to achieve their goals every day.
