We are honored to share that Chanell Ardor Schools of Beauty and Culture has been nominated for the Legacy Builder Award by the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce as part of the 8th Annual Black Business Awards Recognition and Exhibition – “The Era’s Ball.”
This event celebrates Black-owned businesses that demonstrate resilience, leadership, and meaningful impact in our community.
Building Chanell Ardor Schools of Beauty and Culture has been a journey rooted in purpose—to create opportunity, education, and representation in the beauty and barbering industry. As the first Black-owned beauty school in Madison, our mission has always been bigger than hair. It’s about empowering future professionals, serving our community, and building something that lasts.
We are grateful for this recognition and excited to celebrate alongside other amazing businesses on March 26 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this vision. The legacy is still being built.

✨ Student Spotlight | Color + Silk Press Transformation ✨
This transformation was a 2-day process, and it shows what happens when patience, technique, and proper hair care come together.
Day 1:
• Lightening with care
• Custom vivid color placement
• Treatment and conditioning
• Hair health was the priority every step of the way
Day 2:
• Silk press to reveal the final result
This is more than just “doing color.” This is understanding hair, respecting the integrity of textured hair, and trusting the process.
We are incredibly proud of our students for taking the time to do this the right way — no rushing, no shortcuts, just solid education and hands-on training.
