Brittingham Viking Organization lyser nå ut et stipend til én norsk student som får muligheten til å studere gratis ved University of Wisconsin–Madison i 2026/27.

Som stipendiat får du ikke bare studere i USA; du får også muligheten til å reise rundt i landet, møte studenter og alumni, knytte sterke vennskap og bli kjent med en ny kultur. Enten det er roadtrips, storbyopplevelser eller hverdagslivet på campus, byr året på erfaringer og minner du tar med deg resten av livet.

A recap of our year so far on scholarship in Madison! Here are some highlights from the last three months☀️🏈🏟️🎉
Clara 🇸🇪: To see the Bean in Chicago was a lifelong dream come true! I am also so happy that I ran the Madison Half Marathon, and I’ve loved trying all the American foods🍕
G**o 🇳🇴: It’s been amazing emerging in the college spirit and especially watching sports. Madison must be the best college town in the U.S. Go Badgers!🦡
Hans 🇩🇰: I’ve been inhaling cheese curds and meeting some incredible people! The BVO seems like a prank until you become a member, then it is the best thing to ever happen to you🌼
Ramzi 🇫🇮: My face always hurts after meeting Vikings, because I end up smiling so much. P.s. cheese curds are a banger🧀

Roadtrip 2/2:

We continued our adventure in Alabama, starting in Montgomery to dive into some Southern history, then made our way to Mobile for the night and enjoyed some local food and live music. After that, we hit Dauphin Island for a quick beach escape 🌊. Next, we crossed into Mississippi for a brief pit stop, then rolled into New Orleans 🎺—where Caroline and Eric hosted us for an awesome weekend in the city.

Texas was up next—where we spent some days at Chris’ place! We had the chance to go for the legendary Franklin’s BBQ and saw some great comedy. We also had the chance to check out the awesome jazz scene they have in Austin 🎷Thak you Chris - it was a blast!

Our road trip continued towards Dallas for a night, after which we had a stop at Fort Worth and really felt the Western spirit 🤠.

On our way home, we made a pit stop in Oklahoma City to check out a bit of Route 66 nostalgia 🛣️. After that, Kansas City was on the horizon, where we caught an amazing game with the Chiefs & Bills putting on an awesome show 🏈—what a rush!

Finally, we did a quick (suuuper quick) stop in Iowa and then it was time to head back home.

It has been a whirlwind of fun, culture, and memories that’ll last a lifetime!🎬

We are so thankful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what the final months of the year have to offer!

Hello fellow Vikings!!

Greetings from the car! 🚗💨 We’re on our way to Alabama and wanted to share our winter travels thus far with you all!

We kicked things off with an amazing visit to Aspen, where we stayed with Scott & Ella. Skiing, good food, and even better conversations made it unforgettable! ❄️

🏔️ After a quick stop back at the Viking house to pack up, our official road trip began!

First stop: Nashville! 🎸 We had a blast soaking in the country vibes, visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame, and exploring the lively Broadway Street.

Next, we hit the Great Smoky Mountains 🌄 before heading to Atlanta.

In ATL, we stayed at Hannah’s beautiful home, explored downtown, Midtown, and parks, and checked out landmarks like Martin Luther King Jr.’s childhood home and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum. We wrapped up the stay with a dinner with Vikings in the area! 🍽️

And we’re just getting started! Next up: Alabama, New Orleans, and Texas. ☀️
