We held our annual Pride Flag Raising celebration at the end of the day to kickoff June/Pride Month! 1st grade teacher Ms. Cullen led an introduction, Fox of the West High School Gay-Straight Alliance gave a powerful speech, our staff and students "I Can Sing a Rainbow" and "So Many Shapes, So Many Colors" and students helped raise the Pride flag.

At the end of last week we kicked off our Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration and schoolwide learning with drumming performances from Taiko Drum Group, hands-on AAPI arts workshops throughout the day (Chinese knotting, rice dough folk art figurines, and Hmong stitching), AAPI learning in each Specials class, and our AAPI Fashion Show with Midvale students and their families walking the red carpet!

📍 In-Person Sessions Include:�

• May 5 – East High School�
• May 6 – West High School�
• May 7 – Vel Phillips Memorial High School�…and more through May 21!
💻 Virtual sessions are also available during midday hours.
At each session, you can:�
