Loved!!!I was getting ready for the pinning ceremony and one of the girls was watching me and she just said (so sincerely you look beautiful….it melted my heart….i don’t need to hear it but it was nice to hear) we should all be saying that to each other (I tell them that kinda stuff all the time, cause they are) GO TELL YOUR KIDS SOMETHING GOOD RIGHT NOW, I know it’s late but it’s gonna make em shine so bright you’ll think the sun is out!!!BET!!!Come back and tell us….if your kid is asleep already do it tomorrow…..THEY MATTER….YOU MATTER…..WE ALL MATTER!!!I love yall

When your child comes to the door with their shoes on the wrong feet, it’s because they were using their “self help” skills……we are happy they tried……the teachable moment comes not in a “your shoes are on the wrong feet” but in a “yay your put your shoes on, let me show you a way that fits better” teachable moments don’t always come from school…..you are your child’s first teacher and they LOVE when you praise them…..even if u show them a better way….CELEBRATE THEIR EFFORT!!!Love you all, YOU MATTER as a parent……TEACH THEM THAT THEY MATTER AND THEIR EFFORTS DONT GO UNNOTICED!!!Whats something big or small that you have celebrated with your child recently??

Put them phones down!!Conversation is a dying art…..our young people don’t know how to talk to people because all they know is screens…..the need for social/emotional learning in the school systems is huge……and u can teach those skills all day but those skills are felt and learned through connection in the early years……WHAT KIND OF CONNECTION WILL YOU HAVE TODAY??Saturdays should be spent doing something fun (and no many can be free) after a long work/school week what is your Saturday plan?I am at a family cookout (in Kentucky) today sharing stories in the living room now about all the days past……listening to how my mom and her siblings spent their young days…..times have certainly changed……I love hearing their laughter as they reminisce…. Enjoy your day……YOU MATTER

Communication is key for our little people……conversation is important for them and to them!!Ask them what they wanna be when they grow up and listen to them….and then ask them what interests them in that job…..for the younger kids ask them what their favorite animal is and what they like about it…..what their favorite food is or something they want to do on your next day off…..i love yall!!!Put your phone down for a little while and talk to your kids❤️ love you all!!!

Independence is so important!!!Children can start learning independence early on think about how you let them hold their own
Bottle or let them feed themselves (with supervision) and explore safe spaces when crawling …..start them young learning to be independent …..YOU MATTER!!THEY MATTER!!!What task will you give your child to try today

Kids love responsibility and feeling “needed” let them do stuff!!!You would be surprised at what they can accomplish (or try their best to accomplish) if u let them try!!!IT BUILDS SO MUCH IN THEM!!!this pairs up well with giving yourself some extra time ……so there’s no rush, no arguing…..time to get it done and feel accomplished and get praise for their efforts …..as a parent I know it’s easier to “do it yourself but let them!!!What task wil you give your child (or have you given them that they accomplished??Christopher was a very independent child and most teachers couldn’t deal with it…..one teacher told me that she sent him to the library to get everyone a book and him knowing what everyone like, brought back exactly what they liked….WIN!!!those stories make my heart swell!!!It’s Independence Day and YOU MATTER!!!
