The Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was founded on February 2, 1899. Phi Beta Kappa is an academic honor society that celebrates and defends lifelong learning and the importance of a broad and deep education; the liberal arts and sciences.

HEX-U CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

HEX-U is seeking applications from UW-Madison undergraduate students who have humanities-inspired ideas for projects that would address current Madison community needs. The Undergraduate Public Humanities Exchange (HEX-U) provides training in community partnership, mentoring during project design and implementation, and funding in the form of a $600 stipend and up to an additional $2,000 for project expenses.
The deadline to apply is Friday, March 6.

Projects should be planned to start at least six weeks after the application deadline, preferably several months after the deadline. Prospective applicants are encouraged to meet with the HEX-U Coordinator Dipo Oyeleye prior to submitting an application.
