Is the "Conflict of Interest" Movement Impeding Medical Innovation? Dr. Thomas Stossel, from Harvard University and Author of Pharmapobia, presents on the this topic, arguing that the conflict of interest movement may be stifling innovation and progress in medicine and shaping public opinion. The Igniter program consists of an intensive 5 week sprint that includes a weekly series of 4-hour workshops. In addition, Igniter project teams will work one-on-one with D2P’s Mentors-in-Residence. D2P may also offer funding in the late stages of the program.
The ultimate goal of the Igniter Program is to spin your project out of the University as a start-up company that is well prepared for success. Madworks is looking for early-stage, Wisconsin-based startups who are solidifying their business models, finding their first customers, and looking to raise the first round of financing.

D2P Interview: Kreg Gruben, Clinical Therapy Innovator
D2P has teamed up with Dr. Kreg Gruben on his newly developed clinical therapeutic device intended to help patients retrain the fundamentals of balance required for walking. Called the Kinetic Immersive Interfaces for Neuromuscular Coordination and Enhancement, or KIINCE for short, it has been specifically designed to measure the neuromuscular coordination that allows humans to retain a stable upright posture while standing and walking.
