☀️ Summer Safety Tips 🏖️

Summer is the perfect time for outdoor adventures, and a few simple precautions can help keep your family safe and healthy all season long!

🌿 Prevent Tick Bites
✔️ Use EPA-registered insect repellent.
✔️ Wear long sleeves and pants when hiking or playing in wooded areas.
✔️ Check everyone (including pets!) for ticks after spending time outdoors.
✔️ Shower soon after coming inside to help wash away unattached ticks.

🧴 Practice Sun Safety
✔️ Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) 15–30 minutes before going outside.
✔️ Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming or sweating.
✔️ Wear hats, sunglasses, and lightweight protective clothing.
✔️ Seek shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.).

💦 Stay Safe Around Water
✔️ Never leave children unattended near pools, lakes, or beaches.
✔️ Designate a responsible adult as the "water watcher."
✔️ Ensure children wear properly fitted life jackets when boating or around open water.
✔️ Learn CPR and basic water rescue skills.

For our Spring Auction this year, we are "Planting Seeds for Tomorrow" by raising funds to purchase much-needed items from our classroom wish lists. This investment will give our school, our students, and our teachers the resources and tools they need to continue to bloom this year, next year, and beyond.

We hope you’ll join us Saturday, April 18 from 7-9 pm at Hop Haus Fitchburg! Tickets are $30 per person and include a drink ticket along with light bites and dessert. You will be billed in Procare for your tickets.

You've probably seen Adam around in the morning. Always with a smile and a friendly hello. Want to know a bit more about him? Check out this post and head to our Teachers page on the website. Ask him where he gets his favorite butter chicken. Or which romantic composer is his go to.

Gilmore Street Parking Update! 🥳

You may have noticed two new parking signs on Gilmore Street. While the red sign states “No Parking 10:30am–2:00pm Wednesdays” for street sweeping, the green sign below designates a 10-minute passenger loading zone from 10:30am - 4:30pm on Wednesdays.

This means families may briefly park on Gilmore Street for drop-off and pick-up on Wednesdays between 10:30am–4:30pm, including during the 10:30am–2:00pm street sweeping window. Please keep stops to 10 minutes or less and follow posted signage.

Check out a brand new parking map to help clarify parking around New Morning. Note, when parking in the church lot, please use striped spaces only and avoid the tree line/back lot area. 😉
