🎓🌟Senior Spotlight: Saying Yes to New Opportunities Helped Elliot Bradbury Find His Place at West

Whether stepping onto the stage to perform “Into the Woods,” competing in varsity volleyball and basketball or helping classmates through peer tutoring, Bradbury embraced opportunities that pushed him outside his comfort zone.

"It's been great," he said of his West experience. "The teachers have been a great support for me, and I think the kids at West are so supportive and really cool. Everybody has something different to offer."

🎓🌟Senior Spotlight: Two-Sport Captain Ashton Mazvimavi’s Biggest Lessons Came from the Game

When a setback comes Ashton Mazvimavi’s way, one thing’s for certain; it’s not going to stop him from moving forward. And sometimes, that’s literal — like in his role as a linebacker and captain of the football team. Or when injuries kept him sidelined as a two-year captain of the wrestling team.

This fall, Mazvimavi will attend Springfield College in Massachusetts, where he will continue his education as a student-athlete on the wrestling team.

Today, we celebrated the 96th Commencement Ceremony and honored a remarkable class that has shown resilience, determination and heart every step of the way.

From navigating construction-filled hallways and the challenges of a post-pandemic world to building lasting friendships, discovering passions and creating a vibrant school community, the Class of 2026 has left an unforgettable mark on West High.

We were inspired by the powerful words of our student speakers, moved by the beautiful performances of the Concert Choir, and reminded of the importance of kindness, growth and embracing uncertainty as we move forward.

To our graduates: You are prepared. You are capable. You have the power to influence and shape the future. Most importantly, know that you are loved.
