🎈 A First Day to Remember at Gompers! 🫧🎶
Today was the first day of school for all our Gompers students—and a very special one because it was our LAST first day in this building! 🏫💙

We kicked off the year with balloons, bubbles and bops outside, creating a joyful welcome and setting the tone for an amazing year ahead! 🎈🫧🎶

Staff from JH Findorff, who are leading construction on our new school, joined in the celebration, helping our youngest learners find their lines and greeting families along the way. 🏗️👋

What a memorable way to begin the year — and to celebrate the exciting future ahead for Gompers! 💙✨

🏗️ Today, Black Hawk Middle School Principal Dr. Willis and Gompers Elementary School Principal Maixia Thao got a sneak peek at the construction progress of their new schools! 🏫✨

Executive Director of Building Services, Scott Chehak and construction management leaders from JH Findorff Construction walked our school leaders through some of the new spaces and shared a look at what’s taking shape.

We can’t wait to see these new schools come to life! 🎉
