What are spoken words?
As with everything there are three aspects words. There is the spiritual: the subconscious mind’s beliefs, then there is the mental: the thoughts generated by the conscience mind, and lastly the physical: the words spoken into the world. So spoken words are the physical manifestation of spiritual concepts and this is what makes them powerful. Our beliefs are the core of how we react and how we form our ideas, so they must logically be at the base of the things we say. Once we understand how our belief system works then our words will change to fit with the way we believe.

Why do they have power?
The power in words comes from the spirit. Since words are the physical manifestation of concepts of the spirit they take on the power of the concept being expressed. When we speak things we call into effect the spiritual laws that govern that particular situation. The words we use will show which side of the law we are standing. As an example, one law is that our children are what we speak over them. So when we have a hyper child we can either say the child has an abundance of energy and need to be kept busy or we can say the child is hyperactive and needs medication to make them more normal like other kids. In this example the law will make the child either make the child a person who gets many things done and multi-tasks well, or it will make the child a trouble-maker because they are either doped out of their minds on medication or without medication they are destructive tornadoes, destroying anything in their path. Basically there is only one choice to make when looking at a spiritual law, to both look and speak with the eyes of the spirit or the eyes of the world. The world is the negative words and thoughts when it comes to situations. I will get into this later.

What does “The power of life and death is in the tongue,” mean?
The world as we see it is really a simple test. Imagine every situation in life as a true, false test. Meaning that when situations happen to us we can either follow the spirit by answer to the truth, or we can follow the world and answer false for the lie. This is also a topic for later, but it is important to introduce it now is because what we speak is the equivalent to marking your answer in pen. You can’t change it just scratch it and say something else. The goal is to always speak for the truth and not have to scratch anything out.
Since life is a test to either follow the spirit or follow the world then the way we answer will determine the result of our test. Meaning when we follow the spirit we are follow the path to life. We will be walking the same path of all the great minds of our existence. There is much more to existence than what we believe. When walk the path the world has set for us we are then walking towards death. Everything in the world eventually ends and everyone suffers and everyone dies. Deep inside we all know this is not true. So to follow the world is both false and foolish. What type of sense does it make to follow a system that doesn’t exist? Since only the truth exists and falsehoods are illusions it is good common sense to speak the truth.

As always, Let the Light of Your Glory Shine through the Actions of Your Ways.

As it comes to us and the way we exist in this universe we need to realize that we have a very important choice to make. We are to either follow the path to life or the path to death. Life is everything and death is nothing. The path to life is filled with pleasure and love, while the path to death is filled with suffering and hate. These are the only two things to be compared: everything and nothing. These words are being used in their most general definition of them. All the situations that occur in this existence are reflections of one of the two. When we don’t make a choice we automatically choose the path of death. This is because the universe of the finite is about things eventually ceasing to exist. So by not(hing) making a choice we eventually lose and suffer for not(hing) choosing a path. When we make a choice we will choose the path of life which will bring us happiness.
Knowing that there is a choice is all fine and dandy but how do we apply that knowledge to our life? We must first realize that this universe exists outside of ourselves, thus being a projection of what is inside of us. This then translates to the fact that the universe we are seeing is just a metaphor for what is going on in the mind of the perceiver. This then dictates that the situations in our existence are of our own making. With this being the case the situations we see are from within ourselves and we must DECIDE on how we will translate this situation. With the eyes of love or the eyes of hate. With a heart of forgiveness or a heart of guilt. These choices are shown by the way we speak and act towards each other. We must remember that we are all one and every other person other than ourselves, is a reflection of what is going on in our head. To make it as simple as possible we are all the same mind, with this being true what kind of sense does it make to hurt each other, we are hurting ourselves instead of the image that we see in front of us.
As we move throughout this existence we make reflective choices everyday. We must choose what we want to reflect, The Source or The Nothing. In our world’s religions has confused the distinction between The Source and The Nothing. The concepts of good and evil are relative. What is good to one person may be evil to another. There are things that good is based from which are constant and eternal: they are love and forgiveness. We must give true love and forgiveness to ourselves for creating the universe that we exist in. We need to forgive ourselves for this because we have convinced ourselves that this is reality and that we are separate from The Source. When in reality we are The Source in the finite universe. We are just splintered because that is the only way the infinite can exist in the finite. It must have infinite variations of the finite. This universe is something made from nothing and this is why we are in the middle of everything.
To achieve true forgiveness then we must take the steps necessary for walking the path of life. We have been in this universe for so long, referring to the fact that we believe that time exists, that we have forgotten the path of life. We are so lost now we must have a guide back to the path of life. There is only one guide back to The Source and that is The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the part of us that remembers that we are all the same mind and that we are The Source. The Ego, the one who created this universe, wants us to follow the path of death because then it can continue to exist here in this universe. The Holy Spirit will lead us back to The Source because that is where anything that exists belongs.
Figuring out whether we are listening to the Holy Spirit or The Ego is simple enough. The test to use to see if the thought is that one of The Holy Spirit or The Ego is simply look if there is lose involved for anyone involved. Whenever there is lose that is caused on purpose then that thought is of the path of death. Death wants things to suffer lose. This in turn makes The Nothing more real. The Nothing can never be real because it is NOTHING. Illusion is making something out of nothing. This world is something made from nothing, hence an illusion. To make decisions that give credence to this world then those decisions are on the path to death. Decisions that put faith and weight into the unseen, those decisions are on the path to life. Since reality is unseen to us then the unseen is the real reality. All the unseen is The Source.
The Holy Spirit has a totally different way of looking at the world. First of all the Holy Spirit uses this world as a metaphor of the lessons we need to learn to get back to Heaven. One thing the Holy Spirit reiterates is that there is no loss because our source is The Source. When we truly look at a situation that appears to have loss in it for us, we find that what was lost was not needed any more. If we do not need something anymore why should we hold on to it? As we grow in trust and faith in the messages received from the Holy Spirit we will not only no longer perceive lack but all who see us will see abundance no matter our physical situation.

Belief

What is your belief system?
The first thing we need to discover is what your belief system is. We discover this by simply looking at how you live your life. What this means is that just because you are a Christian doesn’t automatically mean you walk the path of Christ. You may actually be on the path of Buddha. When we don’t take the time to look at the path we are walking we can easily get lost and wind up walking in circles. First thing to breakdown is our personal God. It could be the God of the Christians, Jews and Muslims, (it is all the same God). Or your God is the Druid’s nature spirits, or the Native Americans Great Spirit. Basically it doesn’t matter and long as you have a greater power. It could even be that you put our faith in pure luck or your own ability to work out your problems and situations in life. Being human, one of the things we have over animals is our ability to communicate and interact with the spirit world. We must simply first realize that it exists.

Does your belief system work for you?
Next after we find what we believe, we must look and see if it is really working for us. The way to put our belief system up to the test is to look at if it has any parts that we don’t agree with. This part is mostly for those of us that our belief system is based of an organized religion. What happens when we subscribe to an organized religion we give the ability to establish our own relationship with the Source. Organized religion is a set of rules designed by a group of men who was trying to control the population. Religion is designed to control the masses. No matter who your higher power is there is one constant rule that applies, you must establish your own personal relationship with your higher power. Make a list of your beliefs and read them out loud. This will make your beliefs real and then you will be able to hear if the belief actually sounds right when it is spoken out loud. You will discover that some things don’t make sense no matter how you try to reorganize it. The things that don’t make sense when you hear them are the things that need to be released now. This is not to say that later in your journey you will not pick this belief back up, but when that happens it will because you are more mature and have reasons that directly pertain to you for this belief.

What is your ideal idea of God?
Most of us have a picture of God that has been given to us by someone else. Throughout most organized religions and belief systems there is an ongoing theme of finding your own personal relationship with God or your experiences on the path are just as personal. This theme exists because it is the truest of all Spiritual Laws. Our relationship with the Source must be based off our personal situations and beliefs. In order to develop a relationship with the Source we must first identify how we will refer to the Source. Each of us needs different things to motivate us and to keep us on the path back to life. Logic dictates that our goal (God) should fit each one of us individually. So we each must identify who our God is. Remember that all of our Gods are all part of the One Source. As long as your God takes you towards the spirit and away from the flesh then you are headed in the right direction. Take a moment to think about the qualities you want in your God. Write them down. Then read them out loud. Then adjust the list until it fits what you presently believe is best for you. Know that as you journey further down you path it will change the way you see your God. So stay flexible and open-minded.

Do you walk your own talk?
Even when we don’t consciously know what our belief system is we generally live by it anyway. When we listen to ourselves most of us will find that we say one thing and do another. “Do as I say, not as I do,” is a common phrase used by parents to their kids. Children always do as we do because that is all they can do. They don’t have other experiences other than the ones we give them. As a parent, to walk our talk is more important than someone who doesn’t have children. It is also important for them they just don’t have new persons following their every move. Once we have defined our belief system we must look at it and determine if we are living by our own rules. It is our rule that we will be judged on when the time for judgment comes. When say we believe a certain way then we must live according to the rules we set up. We all have standards that we hold ourselves and others op to when it comes to worldly things, we must hold ourselves just as accountable with spiritual things. The path to the Source is the path in which you pave for yourself. We must be careful on the path we lay for ourselves.
