Filmmaker Frank Capra is often seen as a personification of the American Dream. Last week I saw pictures of Lady Liberty doing the rounds, with her head in her hands, instead of the torch of freedom. I thought of that picture again when I watched this clip of Frank Capra as he recounts the story of how he actually got here, here to America, here to Los Angeles. Here, onto the stage to receive a Life Achievement award from the American Film Institute. . I grew up watching old Hollywood films from the 1930s to the 60s, including the delightful films of Frank Capra. Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, Bette Davis, Katherine & Audrey Hepburn, were among my very favorites, and I have probably watched every Cary Grant film ever made. 😀 . Any old Hollywood fans out there? What are your favorite Frank Capra films?

We just had such a great time reminiscing about the old days and learning what was happing with eachother.
