Today is National Cancer Survivors Dayπ
At WWHF, we are proud to work alongside partners doing critical work to improve cancer outcomes for Wisconsin -- from improving mammography quality to addressing breast and lung cancer disparities in our communities.
Today we honor every survivor and recommit to the work that gives more people the chance to hear the word "survivor" for themselves.

At WWHF we believe in the power of learning, and today we are celebrating one of our own.
πJulia, a member of our Well Badger team, just earned her Master of Public Health from UW-Madison. Her culminating research project focused on the Foundationβs Breath program and its texting campaign. Seeing this work reflected in academic research is inspiring. πππ»ππΏ
The Well Badger team attended her poster session to show their support! We could not be prouder of this incredible teammate. Congratulations, Julia! β¨

Great info and resources for CPR & AED Awareness Week! Thank you Well Badger!
β€οΈ June 1β7 is CPR & AED Awareness Week β€οΈ
Would you know what to do if someone's heart suddenly stopped beating?
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is a lifesaving technique that helps keep blood and oxygen flowing to the brain and vital organs during a cardiac emergency. An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a portable device that can analyze a person's heart rhythm and, if needed, deliver a shock to help restore a normal heartbeat.
When used together, CPR and an AED can significantly increase a person's chance of survival following sudden cardiac arrest.
The good news? Anyone can learn these skills. CPR and AED training courses are available through local hospitals, community organizations, schools, workplaces, and certified training providers. Just a few hours of training can prepare you to act confidently in an emergency.
This CPR & AED Awareness Week, take the time to learn a skill that could save a life. You never know when you might be someone's first responder.
