Some of our students formed a Run Club, which met every morning at 6:05 AM to go running together with one of our counselors on the Lake Shore Path. They definitely had a sense of humor and a lot of fun together!

Last weekend, our ESP students explored all that Madison has to offer on the summer weekends! We started off by taking on the Dane County Farmers' Market. Then we went paddleboarding with UW-Madison Hoofers! We also had a water balloon fight on the back lawn of Dejope Residence Hall and stopped by State Street for some tasty treats!

At ESP, not every part of the day is focused on engineering. In the evenings, students get time to relax, unwind, and spend time together as they would as college students. Some of the activities that students can choose from include court sports, soccer, watching movies, playing card games, and much more! Other activities such as doing each others' hair and giving piggyback rides are much more spontaneous and so much fun!

Our second industry tour took us to RenewAire in Waunakee, WI. Students investigated renewable energy with windmill kits, competing with each other to design a windmill that could generate the most energy. We toured their manufacturing facilities, where they develop, test, and build HVAC systems. Students visited the labs where engineers test their products to ensure they are performing as expected. We ended the tour with a Q&A with some employees of RenewAire, where students learned about day-to-day life as an engineer and the roles specific engineering majors might have at their company.
