Ms. Kathy has been leading our afternoon preschoolers on a wonderful tree study! Throughout the school year, the children will continue to visit a special tree on our property to look closely, touch, talk to, hug, and draw it as they observe how it changes over time and with the seasons.
The children also worked together to paint their own giant tree and added natural treasures they discovered outdoors, creating a beautiful, nature-inspired bulletin board!
As the seasons change, the children will add to their classroom tree to reflect what they observe and learn. So far, they have added apples to represent their learning about how apples grow on trees and vibrant, colorful leaves to show the beautiful changes happening during the fall season.
As the seasons change, our young learners will continue to revisit their tree, document their observations in their journals, and explore the changes they notice using all five senses.
At TBT Preschool, we love seeing children learn through hands-on exploration, curiosity, and play. We are so proud of our veteran teachers, who continue to create meaningful learning experiences that nurture a love of nature and discovery!
