Students and staff enjoyed another successful adventure during the St. Croix Summer Environmental Field Science courses. First-year participants explored a variety of topics, including macroinvertebrates, dendrochronology, water chemistry, soil science, and orienteering. Second- and third-year participants conducted original research on invasive and native crayfish populations, groundwater influence on black ash trees, and the relationship between sediment types and macroinvertebrate communities. Some of the trip’s highlights included watching the sunrise from the fire tower, participating in the annual night hike, canoeing on the St. Croix River, and witnessing the birth of more than 100 craylings (baby crayfish). Filled with hands-on learning, field research, and outdoor exploration, the courses provided students with a truly unforgettable experience.

EHS girls soccer beat Waterford last night in the Sectional Semifinal!
They won the game 2-1 overall after winning a shootout 6-5 at close to Midnight! The long game was due to rain delays, lightening, flash flooding and tornado sirens!
The girls will play Saturday in the sectional final at 1:30pm at Deforest High School against Deforest.
