With a heavy heart, we would like to announce that the WE CONSERVE program at UW-Madison has run it's course. WE CONSERVE has fulfilled and exceeded its original goals of 20% energy reduction by 2010.The end of this program, is not the end of sustainability on campus. UW-Madison is committed to sustainability and will be expanding other initiatives.
We would like extend a huge thank you to everybody who has been involved in the WE CONSERVE program over the years, as the success of the program was reliant on the dedicated work of students, staff and community members alike.
We hope that everyone will continue to stay informed and support sustainability in their daily lives. There are many fantastic organizations on campus who support campus sustainability like, The OS, Campus Kitchens, Food Recovery Network, Slow food, Rethink Wisconsin, F.H. King, The Nelson Institute and Climate Action 350 just to name a few. Please continue to practice and educate others about waste elimination.

Again, Thank you!
