Happy New Year to all! The 2026 Rose Bowl parade featured the Madison Band Director, Bernard Long, Jr. I've captured the portion of the parade that featured the Band Directors Marching Band HERE. Mr. Long appears for a split second at 3:43. Congratulations to Mr. Long for being chosen for this band and continuing to be an inspiration for all of the Madison CUSD 12 students!

Bernard Long, Jr.to march in 2026 Rose Parade® with the “Band Directors' Marching Band”

Bernard Long, Jr, the Band Director in the Madison CUSD #12 school district in Madison, IL , has been selected to join a marching band of more than 300 band directors from across North America in the Pasadena Rose Parade® on January 1, 2026. The band will accompany a colorful, animated float along the 5.5-mile parade route. Bernard was also selected to be the principal drum set percussionist in the inaugural 2026 Rose Parade-Saluting American band Director Jazz Band. Click HERE to read the entire document (1 page).

Advisory (8:30 - 9:00) 30 minutes

1st Hour Final Exam: (9:02 - 10:22) 80 minutes

6th Hour Final Exam: (10:24 - 11:44) 80 minutes

Lunch in Cafeteria: (11:46 - 12:16) 30 minutes

Dismissal time: 12:16 PM

Teachers: Use the remaining time to grade Final Exams and update grades.

Wednesday, December 17, 2025: (2nd Hour, 7th Hour Finals)
