Stay connected, speak out, and show up in 2026 and as we head into the 2027-2029 state budget season. There are no guarantees, and a lot of hard work ahead, but we have the best opportunity in a long time to increase public investment in the arts throughout the state.
Join Anne Katz, Director of Create Wisconsin, the state's community cultural development organization, for a "creative conversation" about advocacy and action for the critically important gubernatorial and legislative candidate season, the state budget process, regional conferences, and the importance of being involved in civic issues from the ground up.
The session will be repeated twice in June 2026:
- Tuesday, June 9, 10-11 am (https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/vOh0pceLT9iXT2KqAKsSVg #/registration)
- Thursday, June 11, 2-3 pm (https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/DgdztFP9RYiQ2mrxbCQp8w #/registration)
Please register in advance using the links above (or see the links in our bio)
You'll get Zoom info and other materials before the meeting.

Create Wisconsin's Statewide Artist Grant Program first cohort of 16 recipients is truly remarkable.
Meet one of the recipients: Elisabeth Roskopf
Brief project description -
"An evening-length performance that foregrounds the choreographic research and personal narratives of the collaborating dance artists and myself that explores this question: “How do we (re)claim space for ourselves between our cultures?”"
This three-year program, which supports a new cohort of award recipients each year, is made possible by generous support from the Ruth Foundation For The Arts. This year, each recipient will receive an award of $7,500 for individual artistic enrichment or to conduct a community-based project
