Is drinking an issue for you or your partner?

Consider joining a research study for couples.

We're seeking adults to participate in a study to investigate whether a smartphone-based support system can change the number of risky drinking days, quality of life, and use of health care services for people with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and also provide support for their intimate partners.

What’s involved:
• 4-5 phone calls
• 4 surveys within a 6 month period

Who can participate:
• Adults over 18 years old
• Have alcohol use disorder, high-risk drinking, or problem drinking
• Married or in a 6-month or longer committed romantic relationship
• Spouse or partner who is willing to join the study

Eligible participants will be paid a total of $80 (minimum) for completing all surveys.

A new phone or 6 months of paid phone service may be provided.

This study is a collaboration between researchers at the University of Wisconsin, UMASS Medical School, Brown University. and Stanley Street Treatment and Resources. Funding is provided through a grant from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
