Function just estimated my biological age at 41.7, 8.5 years younger than my actual age.

And yes, I’m pretty dang proud of that.

At 50, I care a whole lot less about looking younger (hence no Botox 😝) and a whole lot more about functioning younger.

Can I lift heavy things?
Can I get off the floor easily?
Can I run, jump, travel and keep up with the people I love?
Will I still be able to do those things at 60, 70 and 80?

This estimate is based on biomarkers from my labs along with data from my Garmin watch. It’s not a crystal ball or a guarantee of longevity.

But it is a pretty cool reminder that our chronological age is only one number.

I’m 50.

And I’m definitely not done. 💪

Maybe the goal was never to stop aging. Maybe it’s to age really, really well.

50 isn’t the finish line. Let’s build a body that’s ready for what’s next. My next group starts September 11. Message me “NOT DONE.”

Maybe the answer isn’t eating less. Maybe it’s learning how to work WITH your body.

What you eat matters. But when you eat matters too.

We’re going deeper into this in my next nutrition group starting September 11.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what actually matters.

Maybe that comes with turning 50. Maybe it comes with losing someone you love far too soon. Maybe it’s both.

I spend a lot of my life coaching people to take care of themselves, to get stronger, eat better, build better habits and stop waiting for the perfect time to start.

But health is only part of it.

What are we getting healthy for?

How are we spending our time? What are we stressing over? What are we trying so hard to control?

I don’t have neat answers to all of those questions. In fact, lately I think God may be reminding me that I’m not supposed to.

And maybe these are exactly the kinds of conversations I want to have more of.

You don’t need another Monday restart.

You need a plan that doesn’t require you to be perfect.

That’s exactly why my nutrition groups are built differently. We don’t change everything at once. We focus on one new habit at a time, practice it, build on it, and keep moving forward.

Because one off-plan meal shouldn’t turn into an off-plan week.

My next 4-week nutrition group starts September 11.

If you’re tired of starting over, maybe it’s time to try something you can actually keep doing.

Message me “SEPTEMBER” if you want the details. Or click the link in bio.

I’ve questioned myself before: At 50, should I still be coaching fitness?

Then I realized… maybe 50 is exactly why I should be.

I know what it’s like to train in a body that doesn’t recover exactly like it did at 25. I understand changing hormones, old aches and pains, busy schedules, stress and still wanting to be strong, capable and healthy for the years ahead.

I’m not just coaching people through this season.

I’m living it too.

And maybe the people I coach don’t need another 25-year-old showing them what’s possible at 25.

Maybe they need someone reminding them what’s possible at 50, 60, 70 and beyond.

We’re not done. 💪

Your scale is measuring the wrong thing.

A recent meta-analysis looked at data from more than 1.1 million adults and found that adults with low lean mass had a 42% higher risk of dying from any cause than those with high lean mass. For men, it was 56%.

And one finding really caught my attention: smaller calf circumference was associated with more than double the mortality risk.

Meanwhile, your bathroom scale tells you one thing: what you weigh.

It can’t tell you how much of that weight is muscle versus body fat.

That’s why I like tools like the InBody scan. It gives us a better look at body composition and helps us track whether we’re building muscle and losing fat even when the scale isn’t changing much.

Because the goal isn’t just to weigh less.

It’s to build a body that’s strong enough to carry you through your 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond.

Muscle is life insurance. You can’t buy it. You have to build it.

Want to see what your weight is actually made of? Come take a tour of the gym I coach at. SpineFit Gym We offer a free inbody scan. Tell them Coach Bobbie sent you! 😉

Apparently my favorite hobby is having too many hobbies.

Business owner. Personal trainer. Nutrition coach. Event planner. Content creator. Runner. Professional Canva tinkerer. Homeschool mom!!! And every few months my brain whispers…

“You know what else we should do?”

And unfortunately, I usually listen. 😂 Podcast loading soon…… 🎤

Anyone else’s brain work like this?

Most people think they need more willpower.

They don't.

They need a better system.

One of my favorite behavior change strategies is habit stacking, connecting a new habit to something you already do every day.

☕ Drink coffee every morning? Add a glass of water first.
🍳 Make breakfast? Prioritize protein.
🚶‍♀️ Finish dinner? Take a 10-minute walk.

Small actions, repeated consistently, lead to lasting change.

This is just one of the practical strategies we'll be covering in my 28-Day Nutrition Coaching Program. Together, we'll simplify nutrition, build sustainable habits, and help you stop guessing what your body needs.

✨ Registration is now open.
📅 Program begins August 3.

There’s a decent chance you’re in your 40s or 50s.

Twenty-five years ago, I might’ve been watching the sunrise because I never went to bed. 😵

Now I’m watching it because I went to bed at 9:30.

Turns out feeling good is a lot more fun than recovering all weekend. 😂

Ready to enjoy your weekends instead of recovering from them?

What about a plan that helps you eat more… not less? 😏

Because “skinny fat” isn’t the goal.

Under-eating, living on salads, and avoiding real food might make the scale drop…
but it won’t build strength, shape, or energy.

The goal is a body that’s fueled, strong, and actually feels good.
That takes enough protein.
Enough food.

And a plan that supports your training, not fights it.

Eat more with intention…
and watch your body change the right way. 🔥
