🎨✨ Our Color The World Fundraiser has officially launched! ✨🎨
Your generous support in previous years has helped us create magical outdoor spaces to offer enriching learning environments beyond the classroom! Our goals for this year include improvements to our sensory garden, reading nook, and outdoor classroom, funding for a new audio/video system in the cafeteria, classroom support, many exciting programs and activities, and so much more!
This is a No-Hassle Fundraiser, which means there is nothing to sell, and no outside companies will be making a profit. All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to supporting our school, teachers, and students!
As you can see in the flyers, the students will also be rewarded for their participation in a lot of fun and exciting ways!

Our teachers 🧡CRUSHED🧡 the first month of school and we are so thankful for them! August is always filled with new routines, long busy days, lots of learning, relationship building, and a million things happening at once. They have each handled it with so much dedication, flexibility, patience, and SO MUCH HEART! Thanks for crushing it! Because of you, this is going to be an amazing year!

⚾ Astros Night at the Ballpark! ⚾
Come join your fellow Astros for a night out at the Rocket City Trash Pandas game on Saturday, September 5th at 6:30 PM! Invite grandparents, neighbors, retired teachers, former students, and other friends of Columbia Elementary.
The Trash Pandas are generously donating a portion of tickets sold through our PTA store — tickets must be purchased there by Wednesday, September 2nd to benefit our school.

Notes: Toyota Stadium is cashless, bags must be clear, gates open at 5:30 PM, and children 2 & under are free if sitting on a lap.

Our Robotics Team attended the 2026 Pathfinder Symposium where they were able to meet with Dr. Stephanie Reitmeier. Reitmeier is the PAE Maneuver Air Systems Center Directorate for DEVCOM AvMC. They provide “research, development, engineering, and scientific expertise for Army aviation science and technology efforts.” They also provided us with funds to help our Robotics program!!!! We appreciate this awesome experience and contribution! 🤖🦾🦿🚋🧱

Our school was a sea of PINK today! 🌸💗 Everyone has joined in to help our kindergarten friends learn their colors in the most fun way possible! Who knew learning could look THIS pink?! 😍💕 Way to go, kindergarteners! Keep learning, keep smiling, and keep adding a little COLOR to our school! 🌈✨
