I am so appreciative for the opportunity to be a participant in the webinar last night with Lawrence Berliner (CT Special Education Law Attorney Law Office of Lawrence W. Berliner, LLC) and Jane Faherty (Stamford JCCJumpStart Program Executive Director & Special Education Advocate Stamford JCC jumpstarsct)!

Reflecting on the discussions and information provided, I’ve decided that there is just too much information to provide in one night! I found myself wanting to go into more detail but watching the clock. I plan to break it down into smaller categories and dig deeper into each topic.

Keep an eye out for dates and more specific topics such as Defining Dyslexia, Navigating the Emotional Side of Dyslexia, Referral to Special Education Process, The Assessment, Navigating the IEP, and They Qualified (or didn’t qualify), Now What?

Shoreline Learning is looking to hire another teacher trained in OG that can travel to local schools during the school day and work at Shoreline Learning’s location after school hours. Teachers must be at the Associate Level or above through the Orton Gillingham Academy.

After listening to Nancy Cushen White talk about handwriting for 90 minutes I am
excited to plan out an intensive handwriting course for this summer at Shoreline Learning! Who would have interest? The big decision will be print or cursive! 🤔 Maybe both??? Let me know what you think and I’ll plan them out!
