It's adhesives week in the lab! What failed: the wood or the glue?
Last week, our machine maintenance students learned how motors operate. Check out this cool demo showing how induction motors gain electricity from a magnetic field. As a magnet is dropped down the PVC pipe, it moves past the copper windings, making the LEDs light up.
