There are many charities such as these that are always looking for knitted items for children in need. I am so excited to get started!

My goal for this page is to inspire anyone who loves knitting like I do or anyone who would like to learn how, to get together and help charities like "Warm up America" or "Knit-a-Square". Please leave me a message or a post if you would like to do this along with me. I would LOVE it if there are any kids that would like to learn too! A colorwork sweater this time. This is going to have a v neck and raglan sleeves. I hoping the raglan sleeves works out with positioning the little hearts evenly, if not it will be a drop shoulder construction 😊

Trying out a new colorwork stitch! It’s from this book. It’s a great book that shows you how the stitch is made knitting flat and in the round.

I ended up taking out the sides because I felt like the angle was too severe. I slowed down the rate, adding more rows between each decrease and it’s much better.
Also a great tip I saw someone do, I cant remember who, is to clip the amount of stitch markers you are going to need all together so you will have them right there. That way you also know that when you’re out of markers your increases are done.

Loving the way this new one is coming out! Since I’m using the bottom up method, I will be knitting the button band around the neck after the shoulder seams are sewn together. I’m also knitting the button band at the same time as the body.

On to another sweater. For this one I’m using this stitch called tulip lace.

All done. Ended up making this a drop shoulder construction instead of a raglan. I thought it worked better not to interrupt the lace pattern. 😊

Now that I have the sleeves knitted I can combine everything together and knit upwards towards the neck. I’ve decided to do a raglan construction. Trying to maintain the lace pattern throughout is the challenge 😁

I’m in the process of making a bottom up all over lace cardigan. I’m pretty sure I’m going to make it with a drop shoulder construction this time. Sometimes I just start out knitting with an idea in mind and play it by ear as I go.

I’m fine tuning this pattern I’m designing for these mitts. Knitting two at a time is the way to go!! Anyone knit two at a time?
