The structure, curriculum, culture, personnel, and leadership of ACE will immerse students in an educational setting consistent with student developmental levels, while at the same time challenging their abilities as they acquire new skills. Classical education methods train the mind to gather, organize, and use information. Students will receive instruction in a student-centered, innovative environment where instruction is delivered utilizing a blended learning model that combines face-to-face instruction with technologically mediated activities in a smaller class-size setting. Utilizing the classical education model, teachers will provide students a rigorous and structured intellectual foundation. An ACE student will be known for his/her ability to synthesize, analyze, and critique information. Students will be known for their ability to make informed decisions and be able to defend that position, as well as the capacity to understand and assume their role in the community. ACE students will be leaders among their public school peers and role models for their ACE colleagues. An ACE experience will enable a student to look to the past in order to create his/her more perfect future. ACE students will graduate high school with the skills to be successful as a student and as a human being in any endeavor in which he/she seeks and will have the tools to become lifelong learners. ACE opened in August 2014 with a K-8 grade configuration and will add grades (9-12) as each year progresses reaching approximately 1600 students at full enrollment by the end of year five.

Dear ACE Families,

I want to make you aware of an incident that occurred on campus today involving our crisis alert system.

A student experienced a medical issue that required assistance. During the response to the medical situation, a staff member accidentally activated a CENTEGIX lockdown alert, which indicated an active intruder on campus.

I want to be very clear: There was no active intruder or threat on our campus, and at no time were our students or staff in danger. This was a medical situation, and the lockdown notification was activated accidentally.

Because any safety alert understandably creates concern, we wanted to communicate with you promptly and clarify exactly what occurred. We are reviewing the incident and our procedures to help prevent a similar accidental activation in the future.

We appreciate the quick response of our faculty, staff, and ACE Police Department and their continued commitment to the safety of our students.
