Historic Fort Hawkins is looking for volunteers to help with tours.
To become a volunteer, students need to complete the volunteer application and attend a short orientation. A short film can be shown in the Education Center of Fort Hawkins; then, a self-paced tour of the Visitor Center museum. Then, walk up to the Blockhouse and the grounds to complete. We also have t-shirts that are available with a donation to Friends of the Fort.
Some tours are self-paced with the volunteer being available to answer questions and provide customer service.
For the group tours, there is a stipend. Rock Candy Tours takes the reservations and brings the group. We provide the actual tour.
For more information check out BearPulse: https://givepul.se/m5vpui and/or email: Sandra Darby at [email protected].
