Porter Ellis Community Center The Porter Ellis Community Center is a non-profit organization located at 5987 Houston Road. The week-end rental fee is $175 per day. The center closes at 11pm.

The center is regularly used by organizations such as the Lions Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, AARP, Rutland Homemakers Club, the Porterfield Garden Club, and many other area groups. The center is used for school and church functions and is available to rent for weddings, anniversaries, reunions, birthdays, baby showers and other special events special events. Weddings and wedding receptions are $350. A refundable $100 deposit is required in order to reserve a date. The center is alcohol-free and only non-profit organizations are allowed to conduct fundraising activities, sell tickets, or charge admission for events on the property.
