✏️📚 Welcome into Ms. Mixon’s classroom!

Students put their writing skills into practice during a workshop. Through independent writing, one-on-one feedback, discussion, and reflection, they worked to strengthen their ideas and bring their words to life. 💭✨

It’s a glimpse into what learning looks like at FPD, students thinking deeply, asking questions, and growing along the way. ❤️🖤

What is a hero? 🇺🇸

Today, our students reflected on that question as they learned about September 11, 2001, and the courage, sacrifice, and service shown by so many on that day.

Their answers reminded us that heroes can look like first responders, nurses, moms and dads—and ultimately, Jesus, our Savior. One of the heroes who lost his life on 9/11 was Major Wallace Cole Hogan 78’. We are proud of all of our alumni who serve our nation.

Today we remember those who lost their lives, honor those who ran toward danger to help others, and give thanks for the men and women who continue to serve our communities and our country.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful. 🇺🇸❤️🖤

❤️🖤 One school. One family. One foundation.
There’s something special about filling the MAC Gym with Vikings of every age for All School Chapel. From our youngest students to our seniors, we gathered together to worship, hear God’s Word, and be reminded of the foundation that unites us. 🙌

🧪✨ Sometimes the best learning starts with “I wonder…”

AP Chemistry students put their knowledge to the test during a hands-on lab, using baking soda to extract carbon and watching concepts from class take shape right in front of them. 🔬🥼

A little curiosity, a lot of chemistry, and one more reason to keep asking questions. ❤️🖤
